I'm enamored with pretty much every HBO program ever aired. The Sopranos. Big Love. Carnivale. The Larry Sanders Show. Rome. The Wire. Oz. Extras. Curb Your Enthusiasm. Six Feet Under. Heck, even Tales From the Crypt.

The channel is a gift from Sophia.

But there was one flagship show I never took to. Tried watching an episode some four years ago, and barely survived the cosmopolitan frivolity. Yesterday, I gave it another go (courtesy of the library). Picked a random episode, centering on, oddly enough, chastity and a fart in bed. A loooong 25 minutes, that. See, I don't mind following characters who are complete narcissists, provided that, as in the case of Curb Your Enthusiasm, the writers are in on the joke.

I'd be indebted, though, if someone pointed me to a good parody.
