You can't get anything by NothingShocksMeAnymore in a music thread...
so don't even try!

I started a Stevie Ray Vaughn thread about a day and a half ago, and deliberately included information that I knew was false to see if anyone would catch it...

I stated that I thought SRV's guitar playing sounded a lot like Albert Collins... It was a complete lie! They don't really sound anything alike, at all.

NothingShocksMeAnymore is the only one that not only caught it, but corrected my sorry ass in the process. :toast:

2. Yep, she rocks. No question.
And for the record, NightTrain is pretty fierce, too, as is the infamously AWOL ForrestGump.

10. The only thing I really have is "SHOWDOWN" which has
Albert Collins, Robert Cray, and Johnny Copeland together in one recording session. It's a great record.

Most of the blues I like is stuff like:

Muddy Waters
Lightnin' Hopkins
Little Walter
Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee
Big Joe Williams

...Stuff like that. I only own about 30 blues records total, but sometimes I'm in the mood for it.

12. Love em all
Get some Albert King or better yet, get the House of Blues compilation which has lots of good stuff on it.

Looks like you're heavy on the Delta Blues.

Also some Johnny Winters is good for the soul :D

He's quite a story teller.
