Wow, the feds must love me by now...
Edited on Thu Jan-08-04 06:39 PM by HypnoToad
I've noticed an increase of military helicopers over the last week; namely around the suburb where I work (30 miles from Minneapolis, 10 from St Paul, that's for sure!)

Today I saw two instances; one at noon circling the city where I work. The second was on my drive home; a copter was hovering low to the ground, pointed cockpit down (at a 45 degree angle) surveying what must have been a very chilly ant walking across the road. :eyes:

I also gave my aunt some cool pictures (just like the ones you see on my web site.) After 4 days she finally got her luggage, complete with a note from the feds thanking her for her patience and some bull about "security" and such. She wrote back thanking them for their astuteness and asking how much she'd be compensated for in terms of worry, et cetera. I can't blame her. I'd do the same.

Meanwhile, I bet we'll have another TV news article about another college kid who got away with smuggling bux cutters onto a plane and later turned himself in, claiming to be doing America a favor (which he would be; if he can do it, real terrorists can.)

What a f***ing joke. x(

1. I know I am loved also
but they seem to be lovers from afar, of the "secret admirer" type. Gosh, it's good to know I'm being watched and potentially protected from myself!

2. I had my phone tapped in the old house; I could clearly hear the
distinctive clicks and different connection sounds, so I'd ALWAYS mention that my phone was tapped when chatting with people.

I don't care if these people watch me. I'm not a criminal, and I'm not doing anything wrong.

This is STILL America. We are STILL the land of the FREE with all the rights we are duly entitled to, under the Constitution and as HUMANS under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

I'm not planning or doing anything subversive or criminal, other than speaking my opinions under the first Amendment.

If these feds don't have the MORALS to stand up for what's right, and lack the backbone to NOT do as they're "instructed," then they have to live with the deeds they do, not me.

Fark em.

3. My phone too, years ago, for no reason i know of
I think they have gotten a wee bit more sophisticated these days, though. Whoops, there goes my justified paranoia again.

4. I get the loud phone clicks every day.
Edited on Fri Jan-09-04 12:01 AM by Paranoid_Portlander
But only when I have the phone plugged into my kitchen outlet. The clicks disappear when I use the jack in the living room, which also involves unplugging my internet connection. If I start to hear the clicks in the living room.........Anyway, I no longer have helicopters hovering over me in my back yard.
