Poll question: We're going to settle this once and for all, right here, on DU! |
|
Which do you prefer?
I really don't like Pepsi, and I get mad when some bar tender gives me pepsi when I ask for a rum and coke...it should really be illegal to pull that kinda shit. :-)

Jolt always sucked. It was/is something marketed to college kids who don't like coffee.
RC has been around forever. It's the real classic.

When they were showing those "Pepsi taste test" ads...you know, the ones where they blindfolded people and asked them which tasted better, Coke or Pepsi...if I had done that, I'd be the only one who couldn't tell any difference betweem the two.

It's 7-Up, Sprite, Mountain Dew, Squirt, root beer, ginger ale, etc. - but no Coke, Pepsi, or Dr. P. Bad, bad, bad, bad, bad. Icky. Yuk.

It's the other stuff that has to be watered down or served ice cold to kill the taste. Give me my single-malt MacAllan neat and don't even think about polluting that nectar of the gods with water or ice!

......correct. Sometimes, when it's a cask-strength a little (and I mean a tiny amt) of water opens up the taste and the body. I love a Macallan too. In fact just about all scotch whisky (even JW Red in a pinch) is better than any thing else. IMHO.:9

I used to get it in Mass., but it seemed to disappear around 1974 or 1975, along with Cott Birch Beer (Yum). Nothing like Moxie in Texas, drat the luck. Youare right, though, it is definitely an acquired taste.

It's owned by the Carlysle Group. You know, the one that's financing the war in Iraq? They bought out Cadbury a few years back. I could be wrong, though. (And I hope I am, because I love Dr. Pepper, and haven't had one since I found out their new onwers.)

For example, if the Pepsi at the 7-11 isn't as cold as the Coke, then Coke it is. Or if one Slurpee is slightly runnier, I'll take the thicker one.
It's not worth getting all riled up about.
