New Yankee workshop on PBS now airing the episode on the Studly tool chest...(i have no idea if that's how it's spelled)

and you know, if you are a woodworker...you have to have a Studly tool chest.

1. Thanks. It's on at 4 here.
I'm not a big fan of Norm's style, but I usually pick up a pointer or two watching the show. Never seen the Studly Tool Chest before, but it will have to be pretty damn studly to beat my work table. :D

2. Me either
but it's a beaut. Mr.Studly was a piano maker and designed the toolbox over his lifetime.
This may be well worth making.

and of course, as always, wear safety glasses...

3. Norm's fine...
New Yankee workshop is fun, so is This Old House et al., but the program I miss is The Woodwright, with Roy Underhill. Heck, good ole Roy could take any chunk of firewood and turn it into somethin'...as long as his knuckles were bleeding during the process. Zip-zip. Is he still on PBS somewhere in this country? Has he stopped drinking coffee? I really liked watching him because...because he's so much like me.

5. I like when he visits historic places

like Williamsburg and shows period details. Very educational.

edit: He's so good at telling you which tools make different kinds of effects. LOL! My Dad used to call Roy Underhill "The Termite"!

7. How Often Does A Craftsman Get Featured In The Smithsonian?
Five hundred tools plus parts packed into a 4' x 3' x 6" space...enough to build a Piano?

Norm's going after another profitable episode; it's up to us to consolidate and organize our "bread-'n'-butter."
