Drinking Water vs. Distilled Water
I don't get it. Is drinking distilled water unhealthy? What's the difference? (don't say one is distilled)

It'll go into the cells of the digestive tract and fill them till they burst (osmosis).

Edit:
It's probably harmless in normal doses - one has to eat enough minerals.

5. Distilled water
has no minerals or electrolytes in it. That is why people get th runs from drinking melted snow.
Used distilled water in your battery or iron and drink regular water or mix your distilled water with something like soup or whatnot.

6. If you mean bottled water... then distilled water...
Is water from your local waterworks which has already sent it through purifiers and then bottled by a company and sold to you at 100 to 200 percent markup.

7. Distilled water=condensed steam
that's how they separate the particulate matter (including minerals) from the water.

You're body needs certain trace minerals and you get enough from drinking regular water. I have a well and my tap water tastes great precisely because of the minerals.

If your municipal water supply tastes horrible (as does Raleigh's around here) get a Brita water filter.

system at the university somehow became contaminated with Pseudonymous. Also I always associate "Legionair's Disease" with distilled water. I would not trust the distilling process or storage of the finished product.

9. Not really...
Legionnaires' disease is most often contracted by inhaling mist from water sources such as whirlpool baths, showers, and cooling towers that are contaminated with Legionella bacteria.

10. Yes indeed
Cooling towers, evaporators=chlorine free water. Good place for bugs to grow!
