Poll question: Where does the best music come from?

feel free to specify, the poll only lets you put ten choices and I had to lump some into continents.

1. Voted Europe
Edited on Sat Jan-10-04 08:15 PM by Kamika
They have given us great and innovative bands like U2 and those beatles thingys. Second choice would of course be America, after that I dunno, maybe South america or Africa..

I think the Arab countries/Turkey would be at the total bottom I can't stand how they sing

7. Europe. At least they have a real Metal scene.
In the 80's I would have said America but the Euros have kept the true scene alive.

9. The BEST music comes from
wherever it's being created at a moment in time. Haydn's Mass (Gottesdeinst) gave me a "Good Slide."

I got to listen to and play some of the BEST MUSIC tonight. Quique Sinesi (Argentina- multiple BEAUTIFUL guitars singing) and Enrique Diaz (Chile- Bs, strings & pipes, perc.) did a duo thing nebenan der Ring, GeWolbe, where the finest of Latin musical tradition may be heard as they pass through unsere heilige Stadt. "Tarde De Lluvia En Köln" (Enja has it with Charlie Mariano, CD 9128-2) Such an incredibly descriptive rhapsody. Oooo, la-la.

"Rainy Afternoon in Cologne." Was sonst, denn? But with the rain come the rainbows. Day before yesterday I saw an intense double one, 180 view. Pouring rain and BRIGHT pre-setting sun. OOooo, la-la.
