I've gotten slammed in the past 3 days.....and I LOVE IT!
3 days online, 3150 reported hits to the system.....how could there be more if page requests say 29,000?

2. There is a difference between a page request, and other http requests. |

There are a boatload of other requests that may/should/could happen besides a browser saying "give me that page".
For example, a browser may ask for the modification date of a page, and from that determine it can pull the page from it's own local cache.
There are other requests that relate more to the http protocol, and negotiation between the client and server, so these types of things are showing up in your larger number.
