This has always been a mystery to me.
MANY people live life as a cyborg. Those with medical implants (pacemakers, cochlear implants, etc) have been doing it for years.

I used to work for Andersen Consulting, known among some in the business community as "the Borg".
I got out before they took complete control of my body. Other than an occasional whirring or clicking sound I've recovered completely.
