If you use PayPal, beware of a possible scam
Last night and today I received an email from PayPal (it seems) that says to please sign in to Òupgrade your profileÓ to help us upgrade our server for better security. It looks exactly like PayPalÕs web site, but addresses me as ÒDear PayPal userÓ. I sent an email to the real site and they are investigating. They always use your name when communicating with a customer...so Beware.

and I don't even use Paypal, I was also sent some crap like that 'from' Ebay, which I also don't use. You know it's a scam when they don't even know who is a custumer and who isn't. I forwarded the mail to Paypal and Ebay and they both got in touch with me and said that they didn't send the originals.

2. Paypal sucks
You make a mistake you eat the mistake and if they make it you eat the mistake. Either way you are out the bucks when a mistake is made.

Is it me, or is the Spell Checker behind the double responses?

5. Basic Rules of the Internet.
1. Never open an attachment if you don't already know the person sending it. And if in doubt about something from a known source, check with them before you open.

2. Never, never, never, go to a website and give them your credit card information because they are "updating" their info. Only give your credit card to a reliable website that has good security. If in doubt, don't give out credit card info.

3. Don't send out emails to everyone in your address book. Try to discourage your friends from doing the same.

4. Be highly skeptical of any mass emailing that encourages you to pass it on to everyone you know. The very vast majority of these involve scams of some kind or another.
