Can we move back to the 1950s?
Start the civil rights movement early and take advantage of a society that was far more supportive of ALL classes than today's filthhole of a "society" is in terms of liveable wages?

1. The 1950s????
Back when women were supposed to be barefoot and pregnant? Way before the civil rights movement started? No thank you.

4. Amen!
It was only a good time for white men who were fairly well-off, and a nightmare for everyone else, particularly women who wanted something more than being tied to a home popping out babies and serving her husband and children 24/7.

6. Hey, LH...

I'm going to try to call you when the Democratic debate ends at 10:00. Any chance you'll be off the Internet so I don't get a busy signal?

2. I lived in the fifties as a teenager.
Believe me it was a very conservative, racist, homophobic and sexist time. The revolution came in the late sixties. It was also a time when we were kept under control with the cold war and the fear of nuclear wars. I would not like to go back personally. Although, it seems like we are being pulled back.
