The best B-737 accident investigator in the world just offered me a job. |
|
Tough decision. I wasn't looking for a job. He just called. I'm flattered. As an ALPA trained accident investigator, I'll probablly sign on. Too bad, tin-foilers!

Sometimes nice things happen to good people! How will this interfere with retirement? Will you then cut all ties with your nameless former employee?

It'd be a tough decision for me to make if I were you, you've just got this awesome new place with some great neighbors, it would be hard to give up that life. You wouldn't be seeing many pretty sights either doing that job, if you have the resources to stay in N.C., I think you should. You worked a long time to get there, why leave now?
My .02 on the matter.

Good for you; do you want to come out of retirement?

Great opportunity. Back into the B-737 rudder actuator fray. But then little minds like "rshod" don't understand that. Too bad.

16. I wish I knew what a B-737 rudder actuator was! |
|
Hey, I am trying to figure out my 98 Outback! That rudder actuator stuff sounds over my head---good thing they called you instead of me!
Seriously, Demo..I wasn't kidding; it's obvious that you are pretty special and intelligent---as far as I am concerned, this was just "proof" of something DUers already knew!
I will start looking for your posts about the new job-
Will you stay in NC?

Travel to accident sites. That is bad news. I've kicked tin too many times before. Duty calls, however.

Yeah, accident sites are tough---But, you'll have tons of support from family and DUers..and I know a guy who would love to double haul some lines in the FL flats with you when you get stressed! (He can cook too! JanMichael and I can go to the liquor store! :) )

|
Noisy as a J-3 and we made an approach into LAF that made a 737 arrival into DIA seem like a grease job....
But LAF doesn't charge for long-term parking...

If an investigation ever brings you to San Diego, you are requested to look me and Haele up. We'll treat to a fine dinner, sans the evil mariachi music. (Yes, there's a story behind that one.)
