Erase one pro athlete from history. Who?
I'll start with Brett Favre. I'm tired of the media ass-kissing.

11. What kills me most about the whole Pete Rose thing...
...is that I loved him as a kid. He was my all time favorite player. Which is why what he did is all the more painful.

6. That smug, obnoxious ass who QBed the Bears
Edited on Mon Jan-12-04 01:33 PM by Rabrrrrrr
during the bears even-more-assholes-than-usual phase back in the 80s. Can't think of his name, but that was with Ditka (another rancid SOB who should be ashamed of himself) and Refrigerator Perry (also a low-life jerk of a human being).

What was his name? Always wore the sunglasses because of the eye injury?

Good quarterback, but he - and the rest of the team - was such an ass, and so stupidly obnoxious and a very poor sportsman (as was the whole team).

On edit: have to add, the whole team except Peyton (Payton?), who rocked, and who seemed to be actually a pretty nice guy.

I actually saw him in a bar once. Was surrounded by a bunch of hotties.

He looked terrible. Overtanned lizard-like skin.

15. Jim McMahon?
I liked when he put on a sweatband with "Rozelle" scrawled on it because Pete Rozelle busted him for wearing a sweatband with a corporate logo the week before. Mildly amusing, at least

Good call. He was an ass. The only consolation is that his career went in the tank shortly there after.

24. Michael Jordan
Then, Isiah could have gone to the Olympics as he wished, the NBA rules wouldn't have changed to squeeze the Pistons' style of play out of competition, we wouldn't have had to deal with all the various spectacles of his so-called retirements, that bookie might still be alive, etc. etc. etc. I cannot STAND that man. My sister and I have devoted hours of our life to writing songs dissing him. For years (and I still haven't completely given up the idea) I wanted my gravestone to read, "let it be said that she went to her grave STILL hating Michael Jordan".

Sometimes I dream
That he is me
And I'm out golfing with that bookie
He buys some drugs
The league just shrugs....
Like Mike.. if I could be like Mike...

He's lean, he's mean
An ad man's dream
He got to pick the Olympic team
Your coach can stay
But you can't play
With Mike
No, you can't play with Mike.

God, he gets my hackles up.
