Roger Clemens to sign with Astros
http://www.foxsports.com/content/view?contentId=2039604

Six-time Cy Young award winner Roger Clemens will delay his retirement and sign
a contract with the Houston Astros, Sporting News' Ken Rosenthal has learned. ...

---------------

When they put his hat in the hall of fame it should have a dollar sign on it

1. YEA! More reasons to hate the Astros!
As if the former Enron Field now Minute Maid Park/Grove/whatever wasn't enough.

Guess what this means. Roger Clemens has to bat.

Against the Mets.

With Mike Piazza calling the pitches.

hehehehehehehe...

3. this will make Steinbrenner look like even more of a fool . . .
for not making the effort to keep Pettitte . . . or Wells, for that matter . . . among the three of them, the Yankees are losing 53 of their 101 wins last year, over 50% . . . and their projected 2004 rotation includes no lefties, not a good thing in Yankee Stadium . . .

7. the sox don't have any lefty starters either, + the yankees staff is still
damn good, unfortunatly

Mussina (THE ace on any other team)

Javier Vasquez (A guy I personlly was frothing at the mouth for the redsox to sign, will likely be an ace, 3.24 at age 26 last year)

Kevin Brown (THE ace on the this team, 2.39 era last year)

And then Contreras and Leiber, who are certainly as good as any other 4 and 5 pitchers in the majors combined
