Director of "A Christmas Story" killed in crash on PCH this morning.

Aw, man. This was the top story on this morning's news (a BAD crash), but they didn't have identities of the fatalities yet. :cry:

Bob Clark, director of "A Christmas Story" and a producer of the "Porky's" films, was killed today on California's famed Pacific Coast Highway when his car was hit head-on by an SUV driven by a man who was later arrested for being under the influence of alcohol.

Benjamin (Bob) Clark born August 5, 1941 and studied theater at the University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida. He may have even been there when I was -- 1956-57 and then from 1960-62 when I graduated.

He was a very nice guy. That crash is horrific. Drunk drivers and SUVs - fuck 'em both sideways.
