6. Nothing really surprises me anymore. |

Charlie is still alive.
The guy who predicted his death is a little subdued.
Where has Sayid been hanging out?
Those women sure can fight...
Was that a UFO out there in the Jungle with all that noise and light?

the new and improved security system, Juliets shenanigans, the last wfew episodes have been really great and they are really starting to connect events and I love watching some of my theories become true!

16. Apparently he's the paparazzi. |
|
:D
The theory on Sledgeweb's Lost Forum is that Smoky was taking "snapshots" of Kate and Juliet's fears.
And is it me, or did they appear sunburned after the encounter? It kind of reminded me of the scene in Close Encounters when Richard Dreyfus first meets the UFO while driving at night.

19. So I have a couple questions about Smokey |
|
Is it clearly that stupid that it just keeps running into that sonic fence? Does that sonic fence go up to infinity and beyond so that smokey can't fly over? Why does smokey "scan" people differently? This one was like snapshots but Eko got something less "flashy."

22. The only thing I can think of, |
|
is that it was daylight when he scanned Eko.
It's also possible that it's more substantial than a big cloud of smoke. A popular theory (one that I'm going with, so far) is that Smokey is some sort of nanobot, even though the show's creators deny this.

26. Daylight is a good point |
|
I hadn't thought of that. That would explain the need for the strobe.
I believe Juliet that she doesn't know what the monster is. I don't believe her about not being a mole.
I like the nanobot concept, thought I think the mythology they are developing leads to something a little more supernatural. I might be wrong though. I don't give a lot of credibility to what the creators say about the show. The show sells because it is a big mystery that everyone is trying to figure out. If they said "Hey, you're right, that's what it's all about" then they lose their pull. They may not be in purgatory, but it is clearly a metaphor for it, IMHO, even thought they have denied that. I mean, why make the "author" of the spin off novel but an anogram for purgatory.

10. So is Juliet gonna be a double agent now? |
|
After having the keys to the handcuffs the whole time, I'm not so sure she's just being left behind anymore.

20. Actually a reference to Revelations |
|
and the Rapture. Those that aren't worthy are "left behind" while the good are taken to Jesus in their bodily form. I could refer to you the "Left Behind" book series but I wouldn't want anyone to actually read that crap.

11. Eh. I'm getting tired of the Kate, Jack, Sawyer triad. |
|
I loved how Hurley conned Sawyer into being nice to everyone. I figured all along he was playing him. Those two are comic gold.
My theory- any time someone unexpectedly arrives on the island, the Others go into "pack up and move to the shanty town" mode. They did that for the plane crash, and they did that when Desmond shipwrecked on to the island. Maybe someone else landed on the island?

Obviously, the Losties know where they are and how to breach the security perimeter. Time to go somewhere else.

but I think there has to be more to it. I don't think the Losties are of major concern to them, despite the havoc they've already wrought (killings, sabotage, etc). It may be possible, though, that there are other inhabitable villages on this chain of islands.
