Would Cicero get banned from DU?
I was rereading his second Phillipic recently, and realized he sounded like an internet flame warrior.

Personal attacks, flame baiting, fishing expeditions...

I don't think he'd last long.

1. He was pretty rough on Mark Anthony in "Rome" ...
but not before he had skipped town to avoid Anthony's wrath. The gentleman who read Cicero's letter to Anthony got beaten to a pulp by Anthony.

2. Yeah, I saw that episode.
That scene was just a rather small snippet out of the second Phillipic.
