Just watched "Jail Bait"-- a really bad Ed Wood, Jr. movie!
It wasn't one of his good-bad ones, like Glen or Glenda, or Plan 9 from Outer Space--the kind that are so bad, they're good. This is just slow and dull and stupid.

His girlfriend Dolores Fuller has one of the leads, and she's the worst actor in the damn thing, which is saying a lot.

And, believe it or not, it's the screen debut of Steve Reeves--yes, THAT Steve Reeves--Mr. America and Hercules. He was quite the pretty boy, and there's a gratuitous scene where he's putting on his shirt. Quite the stud. And--another believe it or not--he actually isn't awful. True, he's not a great actor, but some people aren't freaked out by the camera, and he's one of them--appears very natural. I wonder if he's still alive.

3. I like Ed Wood....
....not 'cause he's 'bad', but 'cause he's 'sincere'. BRIDE OF THE MONSTER is my favorite. I wish MST3000 would make fun of really bad films like LORD OF THE RINGS...

4. I can't hang with any of his movies...
they're just too ineptly done. I like trashy movies, but I like for them to a least be shot in focus. Give me "Caligula", "Mandingo". or "Showgirls"

9. Agreed.

"Bride of the Monster," "Glen or Glenda," and "Plan 9" are all a hoot!
In fact, some friends and I have done an extensive job of giving "Glen or Glenda" the MST3K treatment.

7. That's too bad--he must have been about 70...
...Jail Bait was from 1954, and he looks about 20.
