I have nothing specific to rant about. I'm in pain, I'm tired, and I'm a little scared. Now I'm going to bed, in hope that stress will abate and things will look better tomorrow.

13. I've been meaning to clarify

but have hesitated, not knowing whether a series of essays or a mere list would be best. <wan smile>

spinal arthritis is kicking my ass -- GOD this shit HURTS, and makes it very hard to move, to sleep, to sit, to stand, to walk.

I work for someone who has zero tolerance for medical absence, no matter how legitimate (and they are all legitimate) and who takes every single absence personally, turning it into an issue we have to discuss, holding my "great review" over my head as something I am apparently required to pay back, etc....

Mrs. V. has been very ill for nearly a year and it's taken such a toll on our finances that I'm beginning to fear collectors and worry about "next steps" for the first time. I don't know what to do. Couple that with my own self-loathing for even thinking about finances -- I should be more worried about her health for chrissakes! And I am, but.... jesus, I hate this.

So yeah, Skittles, I'd say that I need a serious ass-kicking!

I've got it bad in my fingers but hopefully it will be like my mum's and not progress. I cannot, for example, hold one of those manual car wash things long enough to wash my car. I try to limit medication because I always seem to suffer bad side-effects.

EVERYONE should be worried about their finances with these thieving bastards in office.
