Give a nitpick that YOU yourself discovered
Armaggedon... If you are sitting on a "goddamn iron plate" that wrecks havoc with your insturments... their is no way any other electronic equipment should be able to function (that, and how do they read the drill depth meter)

3. If They Had To Drill 800 Feet
40 sections of pipe would do it and a simple LED bar-graph would let them know on the progress per 20' section of pipe.

Remember, Drillers designed and built the equipment and not NASA.

4. LOTR: Return of the Kings
Why couldn't the Eagles fly Frodo and dum-dum Sam up the mountain? Would have avoided the very last battle, which was cinematically unnecessary after the masterpiece battle that preceded it. I know it was prolly straight along the lines of the way the book went, so oh well. Also, when Gandalf is riding Shadowfax, there is obviously a bit in the horse's mouth. This is even apparent in the stunt double shots. I forgive the shots that show Sir Ian riding with a saddle, since he is elderly. Also, there are shots of the horses cantering, but the score dubs over with gallop effects, which is a 4 beat gait. Sorry, horse nut checking in. Oh, and why is Frodo such a hero? Ultimately, he failed. Barring such, this was a great flick.
