The funny thing is, she was one of the most beloved figures in my town in the buckle of the Bible-belt. Everyone knew she was a Lesbian, but she prospered in this little city. Everyone loved her. She's a great person... she's not dead (last I heard), but retired to the Smokey Mountains.
