That's a very sweet-looking kitty...ours is a barn cat from Sam Houston Race Park. We call her "Seabiscuit" (and this was years before the book and movie).

Vijay, a male bonobo (pronounced Boh-No-boh), or pygmy chimpanzee, born December 28, is now on exhibit inside the Nursery at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden. Since the mother could not provide adequate care to her new baby, the Zoo’s Nursery keepers will bottle-feed the 3-pound newborn a milk supplement every three hours. Eventually, Vijay will be reintroduced to his family.

Bonobos are genetically our closest living relative. They are closer to humans than the common chimpanzee in structure, intelligence, and many habits, including walking upright. In fact, bonobos and humans share 98% of the same genes.
Teetering on the brink of extinction, bonobos are trapped in a war zone in the central Congo. Due to the civil unrest, human encroachment, deforestation and the threat from bushmeat hunters, the bonobo population has dropped significantly from 100,000 in 1980 to an estimated 5,000 today. Some researchers believe the population may have decreased by as much as 75% in the last six years.

Only eight zoos in the U.S. exhibit bonobos, which currently represents a total of 60 bonobos, including seven at the Cincinnati Zoo.
