I'm watching "Dr. Strangelove" on Turner Classic Movies. Strange thing: it's not funny this time around. Too real!

Between hearing Paul O'Neill's report about the inner workings of the Bush White House, and reading the frightening profile of John Ashcroft in Vanity Fair ... the goings-on in the "Strangelove" war room don't seem so far-fetched!

I think that ashcroft is like Jack D.Ripper (bodily fluids guy) cant you just hear him say I can longer sit back and allow communist/terrorist infiltration, communist/terrorist indoctrination, communist perversion and the international communist/terrorist conspiracy to sap and impurify all of our precious bodily fluids.
I also think that rumsfeld is like buck turgidson(the hyper active gen in the war room) I also think dubya has to be the guy who rides the bomb

When I read it in High School, I couldn't imagine a world where we were brainwashed by the Government and Media

When I read it again last year (about 2 decades later), I slept with the lights on for a week because it scared me so much realizing that we are becoming "1984"
