Question to those with law school experience....
I'm going to be starting law school in the fall after I graduate in May. I'm 21 right now and still live with my parents. This might seem like a ridiculous question, but would it be better for me to move out and get an apartment over the summer? I won't be working my first year, so I guess I would have to take out more loans. I have a brother, and we live in a fairly small house, so sometimes it's hard to get away from the noise, and I've heard the first year of law school is extremely demanding. So, what do you think?

3. Whatever you have to do to have peace of mind, DO IT...
even if that includes taking out student loans. I have seen so many students quit because of problems at home.

4. I'd say no.
I had an apartment but used to do most of my studying away from home (ie empty classroom or library). When studying at home there is always a distraction -food and such- even when alone.

Plus when you live at home there are things that will save time, such as having meals and laundry done.

Finally, how long will the commute be?

5. Not the time to take on more upheavels
You will have a full plate in the fall, and adjusting to a new living situation with increased financial strains will just add to the pressure. I would stay put. You will have to practice study discipline wherever you are. There are always distractions.

6. Use the Law Library!
Live there! Go home to eat and sleep. Get into a spartan routine and pour it on in your first year. If you do that, it will be downhill from there! Good luck.
