2. I took care of my ill dad today.

Apparently he forgot he drank most of a bottle of wine yesterday when he took a pain reliever on top of it before going to bed. :( Hopefully he'll be feeling better soon, as we're taking him to the airport this evening.

13. I went to work today.

I work with the mentally challenged. Some days it's wonderful and fullfilling, other days you want to slash your wrists with a dull grapefruit spoon.

Today I wished I had the grapefruit spoon with me at work.

14. Dropkid decided to cut her hair

and I didn't blow a gasket. Big props to me, we're still trying to grow out the "new bangs" disaster.

And I kept my cool when I found she'd cracked open a half a dozen organic ($$) eggs in her bedroom yesterday.

20. It was my mom's 69th birthday today

Made her a yummy orange dreamsicle birthday cake yesterday and took off work early today to deliver it along with a cool rod iron bird feeder and gardening kit with this great green tea & citrus hand scrub and cream.

She was diagnosed with lymphoma last year and after several months of chemo, is in remission and feeling great. I feel so blessed to have her.
