You have an impressive understanding of the world for an American. It is likely that you feel intellectually isolated in your home country, and often have to hide your opinions from others. Deep down, you realise that your country is the single biggest threat to world peace in modern times, but you have not yet summoned up the courage to emigrate.

(what can I say... I'm bored, and DU is too damn slow today!)
The questions change a bit. Once, I only got 10/20. Once, 19. I did well on the geography ones and anything having to do with Russia, but not so well on some of the others. Sigh.
I found the whole thing to be rather offensive, though.

I was doing it at work and people walked in on me the first two times, and of course, I only had answered 2 questions one time and about 10 the next.
After that, I took it twice and got 18, then 20, but I only got 20 because of a repeat question.

"For an American, your knowledge of the world and its history is surprisingly good. About the same as the average school-age person in any other country. If you are at school, congratulations. If you are an adult, try harder. Read books, visit other countries, and watch less television. Learn to understand the world better and you could become an ambassador for your country, demonstrating that Americans are not all stupid."

I wonder which one they screwed up on.
Once upon a time I played Trivial Pursuit online. The other player kept bitching and moaning, accusing me of playing so much I had memorized the questions. Only she could see my stats I'd only played about 10 times. Her own showed a couple thousand plays (wow, what a life!) I said I read, finally leaving the game never to return.

The term stupidity describes an inherent inability to reason or to learn. Ignorance results from a failure to learn whatever has been arbitrarily defined as important to know.

If you are American, the only way you got this score is by doing the quiz 50 times, and memorizing the correct answers. You need to approach the world in a less aggressively competitive way and learn to live with your inadequacies, rather than seeking to feel through bigotry and false national pride.
