Bringing Alcohol into the US |
|
Hey!
I am travelling to Argentina in 2 days and am planning on bringing back a good quantity of wine. I know you can bring up to 1 liter of alcohol per person, but what are the duty rates above and beyond that one liter limit?
I tried to find the tarrif and duty rates, but the website is down for maintenance. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

says ca. 36 cents. I'll ask the US branch of the family the next time I speak to them, but that'll probably not tonight. http://www.usembassy.de/faqs/customs.htm

2. I think it depends on where you are traveling to |

States that produce wine (CA, VA, NY for example) are a bit more strict cuz it competes with their wine growing industry, or so I understand. But who noze.
