Does anyone else feel a need to shower after exiting GD: 2004 Primary? |
|
Holy crap! The insults, accusations, innuendos and general nastiness are occasionally enough to make your garden-variety freeper seem almost sane.

1. Thank you. Yes, the Real Enemy gets a pass there. |

Hard to believe the hatred against fellow Dems, given what we face in a second Bush term (and are facing now). I am in my 50s, go back to working for Gene McCarthy in high school, and have never seen such self destruction on the part of the Dems. Advocate for your candidates, folks, but never forget where the Devil sits.

and not in a good way!!
Yesterday I posted that I'm supporting Clark ..... it was like dropping raw meat in a tiger's cage.
Most of the responces from Clark supporters were very nice ..... then it got ugly.

4. Yeah, it's pretty vicious. |
|
I mentioned in one of my first posts there thatI'm a former Clark supporter, although I gave no reasons and didn't 'bash' General Clark when I said it. from some of the responses, you'd have thought I questioned the virginity of their teen-aged sister! Some pretty irrational folks over there, for sure.

5. I try not to get involved |
|
I have a bad feeling that the nastiness between the supporters of the various candidates will continue after the party nomination has been announced. I just hope that we all remember what (and whom) we're really fighting for - Bush no more in 2004!

6. The one good thing about it |
|
I've certainly learned who to ignore.
The really down side, and I do mean *DOWN*, is that I've become quite hopeless about any chance of understanding and compassion from "progressives". It has left me feeling that this is not a world I care much about inhabiting.
I wonder if they understand that by acting in such a viscious manner that they are also discouraging people from working in a campaign... *any* campaign? I sure wouldn't walk into a campaign office to volunteer my services after reading that stuff.

I sort of feel the same way. While it disgusts me to see the "good guys" savage not only candidates, but each other as well, I just can't quit cold turkey. „
