This is the ONE poll that should be DU'ed...
http://www.senate.gov/~src/home/index.cfm

This is the Senate Republican Conference page!

Quick Poll

Is the world better off now that the U.S. has captured Saddam Hussein, or would it be better had the U.S. never invaded Iraq?

Better off now that the U.S. is upholding U.N. resolutions and holding Saddam accountable for his actions.

The world is actually in worse condition, and Saddam should still be in power because the U.S. acted rashly.

The condition of the world is the same now as it was before the war in Iraq.

If you submit your choice, then got to internet options / temp internet files, delete your cookies and files you can go back and vote as many times as you want!

This is the ONE poll that we need to flip...

2. What a bullsh** poll...
Note the second response:

"The world is actually in worse condition, and Saddam should still be in power because the U.S. acted rashly."

The only option you get if you think the U.S. acted rashly, is to say you think Saddam should still be in power - IOW, to express a pro-Saddam sentiment.

5. Yes.....
Unfortunately the world is the worse for *'s actions, and * did act against EVERYONES best interest but his own. If this means that Saddam would still be in power, then so be it...

I just read an excellent interview describing what UC Berkley professor George Lakoff terms "framing". Mr. Lakoff talks about how the rightwing has been funding think-tanks for decades to form just such phrases, to "frame" the context of various debates, arguments, talking points etc...

Once the right has "framed" context of the debate, any response from the left is automatically playing into their hands. Mr. Lakoff states that the left must get better at this to "frame" progressive views in the public eye if we are to compete for the minds and votes of the American public.

If you would like to read the interview, it is at Buzzflash at this link:

3. Note the Sponsorship

It's small, so if you can't read it, it says,
Rick Santorum (PA), Chairman

21. ha ha...
We blew it out of the water.....last time I looked yesterday "The world is actually in worse condition, and Saddam should still be in power because the U.S. acted rashly" was at like 62%, and "Better off now that the U.S. is upholding U.N. resolutions and holding Saddam accountable for his actions" was at like 32%.

They have removed it this morning!

Good work.....shut em down whenever we can....
