What do you think of the Pimsleur language programs?
I am currently using the Pimsleur cd program to learn Portuguese. Although I know the best way to learn a foreign language is to actually go to a foreign country, Pimsleur is by far the best program I have ever used. Has anyone else here tried it?

P.S. I must warn
you guys, its very
expensive...

2. I'm staring at a Pimsleur Japanese course box on my desk right now...
... not sure about starting it. It seems weird not having a manual/workbook to follow. Does it work for you?
