Rabid eBayer is now harassing me! Help!
Last week I posted here in the lounge about an eBayers who refused to send me my item. Well, this weekend he sent me a notice saying my item has been shipped, but since then has sent me two emails where he has basically harassed me. His first email he informed me my item had been shipped. He then said something like I was lucky to get the item so back off.He also said he wasn't scamming anyone & called me a bitch(my eBay account is in my mother's name) The second email he said again, he wasn't scamming anyone so suck my d---.I sent him an email back telling him he was sexually harassing me.Our business is done.If he sent the item off than theres no reason to send me anymore emails.Today I see he left me another email which I have not opened.Debating if I should just delete it or read it.

WHat bothers me is this person knows my name, address, email, etc. Can I report this to anyone or should I just dismiss it?This guy is a real nut!ANy advice would be appreciated!

1. You can and should report it
I would block any further emails from him. I had a similar (but much less severe) instance a couple of years ago - but fortunately he lived in Atlanta, and I'm in Seattle.

I would definitely save the ones he's sent you, and forward them to eBay's Safe Harbor.

Good Luck! :hi:

5. leave negative feedback
This is very important. It will stay on his account forever. If you need more help, let me know. There are other remedies. We do over $6K a month in ebay sales and NEVER use this kind of tactic. Its just plain rude.

9. NO - DON'T block his emails
save them all, send them to ebay, let them know what is up.

he's actually getting, so far as I understand the law, which isn't a lot, but he's getting into felony - or at least FBI - zones of criminal behavior: internet fraud, postal fraud, harrassment through the internet...

Start with ebay and then let them deal with it; then go to the law if you have to.

10. Well, he's no longer a registered user
when I bidded his feedback was EXCELLENT. WIthin a week 8 people have left him negative feedback.I think this guy feels at this point, who cares! He claims his business went under, thats why he didn't send my item. I must have sent 6 or 7 emails (all very friendly)asking him whats up.If he had explained to me why the delay, etc.I would have worked with him,as I told him.

My girlfriend feels this jerk somehow either blames me for his business going under or just see's my as a target. This guy also filed a case against me w/Squaretrade because I left bad feedback for him.I closed the case w/sqauretrade which I'm sure pissed him off as well.I wonder if he filed cases against the other 7 people who left him bad feedback or just me. TRUST ME WHEN I SAY,THIS GUY IS A NUT!

As an aside, never buy an eBay item from a Russian in Russia. I know it sounds bad, but 9 out of 10 times, you'll be scammed.

13. Well, that's what we get for saving them from evil communism...
Right Reagan?

Never buy from a person in a foreign country or one with few marks unless they can really prove themselves.

4. I would save all emails as evidence...
Compile a file and send to ebay to request a formal investigation. You can also send copies to the sender's email provider and request that they intervene (they probably won't, but it couldn't hurt).

6. i'll bet even money...
you never get your item...

this is just a tactic to "prime" your attitude, so you will be inclined
to feel that it is "just not worth it" when your item doesnt arrive.

my bet is, the item was less than $50 or so. Am i right? They primarily use this tactic on low priced items, so you are even more apt to drop it.
