11. What's a Hulley Gulley?
I'm guilty of all the others mentioned...
In fact...I still hokey-pokey. It's my 5 year old's favorite dance.

13. Kind of like line dancing.
But to Rock & Roll, not country.
We did it in the 60s.
Line up in several rows and dance in unison to the music, kind of like a chorus line.
The only step I remember is 3 backwards steps, clapping your hands under your knee with each step.
Can anybody help me out here?

15. More on the Hully Gully
During the early Sixties in the East, some did the "Hully Gully" which was an unstructured sort of line dance and consisted of an endless stream of "steps" which someone called out, and everyone did at the same time. The "steps" (?) were very easy and you only did them for a few seconds, so I think part of the fun was keeping up , and keeping in time with the changes. ( The best professional version I've seen is in the movie "The Blues Brothers" with John Bulushi.)

A few poor discriptions of some of the "steps" I recall:

Hitchhiker moving head, left thumb to the left (imitation of hitchhiking keeping time to pretty fast music, with a little bouncing from the knees)
Boxer 2 jabs to the R, 2 jabs to the left, (also ;) being sure to get good shoulder movement
Watusi slight jumping movement with half "ripple"
Pony jumping with a little wiggle
