Do you ever wonder how things end up at a used record store?
I was just browsing at my local used record store and found three Don Dixon CDs, which is three more Don Dixon CDs than you usually find. He's not exactly a household name.

So what's the story?

I'm gonna assume someone decided to purge themselves of Don Dixon. Maybe three people all decided to get rid of different Don Dixon CDs at the same time but that seems like too much of a coincidence.

But why? I imagine heartbreak with some major drama, especially given Dixon's repertoire:

Borrowed Time
Heart In a Box
Million Angels Sigh
Love Gets Strange
Calling Out for Love (At Crying Time)
and of course Praying Mantis, his song about someone who wanted someone else so much that she ate his brain.

So what happened? If there are any bored creative types in the Lounge I'd love to hear your theory.

Right now I'm not in the mood to ponder people dying

3. I don't know, but i had a friend whose dad read books constantly
the house was full of books he had finished and would never touch again, a real cluttered mess. my friend occasionally sold some books for pot money without the dad knowing

4. But we're talking about Don Dixon here
Who among us could imagine never wanting to hear Don Dixon again?

Or not noticing if their favorite Don Dixon CD was missing?

The mind boggles.
