'Bewitched' Darrin: Carrey Out, Ferrell In?

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (Zap2it.com) -- Although Jim Carrey originally expressed interest in playing the tall lanky husband married to a witch, he won't be involved with the project, but Will Ferrell may.

"We can confirm that Jim Carrey is not doing 'Bewitched,' " says Douglas Wick, producer of the film that will be made out of the 1960's TV show. And about Ferrell, Wick says coyly, "We can't say that he's not doing it."

Despite previous reports that it's a done deal, Ferrell's representatives aren't confirming any agreement yet, but since the "Saturday Night Live" star hit it big with the holiday season's comedy hit "Elf" and "Old School" before that, his pricetag certainly has gone up.
