Here it is, the machines are beginning to come alive...I saw a commercial about this today, didn't even know something like this was out there yet.

2. It really makes you appreciate the work involved in it
When you see how much time went into having it walk 'dynamic' instead of 'static'. And it can also walk up and down stairs.

There's alot of interesting links throughout the webpage if you're into robotics/AI.

4. ASIMO's actually been around a while (at least a year or two)...
Honda just keeps improving him. I guess the walking thing (especially walking and turning at the same time) was one of the most difficult things to work out. Seems some of the things that we do naturally are damn difficult to teach a computer.

5. Human-like robotics is such a waste
Biped locomotion is such an crappy way to get around. It's a waste of time to use all those resources to duplicate it.
