Lessons learned or "Moments of Embarassment"
Yesterday I learned a valuable lesson.

to avoid waking up my partner, I usually prepare my work clothes the night before and put them on in the den. There's a "big light" in the den, but the light would enter the bedroom like a spotlight, so I usually just have a small table lamp and the computer monitor for a light source.

Stepping carefully over 3 dogs sprawled over the floor, I felt around for my shoes.

it wasn't until around lunch time that I discovered I was wearing 1 black shoe and 1 brown shoe.

lesson for the day: All shoes look black in the dark.

yes, this morning I have checked my shoes before putting them on, they are the same color and style.

1. When getting dressed in a hurry because you're late for work
and you grab the clothing out of the dryer, be sure to check for other loose garments that may be stuck inside your pants lag.

And, be discreet, casual even, when a pair of undies slides out of your pants leg as you stand up because your boss came into the room :eyes:

2. Haven't done that...but
I have gone to work wearing "new" pants with the stickers still on the back of the leg...

with the 'shoe' incident, my partner has threatened inspections before I leave the house...

3. Navy and black
are also indistinguishable in low light. I once went to work wearing a black suit and navy pantyhose.
