How low can it go?

I have about $500 that I play with in the stock market. I have 99.999% of my money in good, solid mutual funds, but I took a few hundred of that as my play-thing in the speculative market.

My goal is to make $1000 and buy a HDTV or a sea kayak. Haven't made my mind up yet.
