I've got to be bored if I'm reading how many losers are calling an actress they'll never interact with a traitor.

One idiot called her an organ sac. Lovely.

1. What is it with the freepers and imdb?
I've got to admit though, the freepers are in one respect more internationalist than the democrats are. On the UK political talkboards, when you get an American poster, four times out of five they're a freeper, and being thoroughly obnoxious. This gives America a bad name, because most people in my country have never heard of a freeper. Duers don't seem to get out there anywhere near as much.

3. We "use the sense that God gave us"
as the saying goes.

Most of us also have lives outside of posting on every forum imaginable, compared to some freepers.

5. Fair enough.
Though it's a shame that America's online ambassadors everywhere are the freepers.

6. Most Americans don't bring up
"We're Americans and we think this of the world..." every time we post.

For many of us in an international forum the first clue that we might even be Americans is usually our spelling or mention of a show that hasn't been aired overseas yet. (Happened with me a few months ago when I mentioned I was getting ready to watch Heroes on tv. It hadn't been released overseas yet so they knew I was either American or Canadian. And my spelling proved to not be Canadian.)

Otherwise, someone might not even know where we are from.

8. we try to be less colonial.
:)

What's a good UK political message board? Do I have to be well-versed on parliamentary stuff? I don't entirely get your system over there...

7. They infect that site like the plague.
Pretty silly considering their "me-first-fuck-you-let's-start-a-war" politics conflict with 95% of the celebrities and films on it.

4. I have a former coworker who
every few months will pass on the same email (or rewriting of the same email) about boycotting her. He claims to despise her because he remembers what she did.

Funny thing is, he's two years younger than I am and I was not alive when she went to Vietnam.

I think some people just enjoy being confrontational.

9. Reading most of the imdb's posts is the equivalent
of visiting the freak show at a third rate carnie.

10. That's giving the posters too much credit.
I tend to find myself more impressed with the cunning of a third rate carnie.

Besides, freak shows are kinda cool. I used to go to the State Fair every year to visit one.

11. Point taken
OK then, reading imdb's letters is the equivalent of attending the Republican National Convention.

14. I'd rather not.
It would take too long.
