But you're being very smart by checking out other things that you can work at...

And ....you have your life...which you could have lost...

4. I haven't been following your story, sorry. But it sounds like you've been going through
a damn rough patch, and news of keeping a leg has GOT to be the best thing you've heard in a long time.

Sorry I didn't see your earlier posts; I should have been paying better attention. but allow me to say a heartfelt "good for you" right now. And I hope the news continues to be good for you.

12. "Bring down the Lounge?" Not to worry, that's what the Lounge is HERE for...to be a place
where you can get some support in your time of trouble.

(I'm no stranger to the situation of facing possible disability, by the way, so any time you need to bounce your concerns or fears off someone, I'm only a PM away. Got it?)

10. about three months or so ago
got a run for a suicidal mentally ill person on a stairway in an apt, we arrived on the scene to find the female standing on the landing of the stairway right outside her apartment, threatning to jump off the landing and kill herself, I grabbed her and pinned her against the railing. The long and short of it is, she jumped and I didnt let go, and down we went approx 35-40 feet, and she landed on me and my leg folded under us. broke about every bone in my leg and hip. Ive had several surgeries and been fighting off infections all the while. I was close to losing the leg, but its recently started to respond to antibiotics and treatments.

13. That is certifiably one of the oddest subject lines I've ever read.
And even more odd to live, I suspect.
Good news, though, I suppose!

22. Holy crap!
I will henceforth cease to whine about my ongoing case of strep throat!
:P
I don't know whether to say, "wow, you were lucky," or "wow, that's horrible!"
I'm glad you're improving, at least. How incredibly painful! I wanted to wince, just reading about it.
