I'm furious.

Today was supposed to be my 'day off'.
As in, instead of going in to work for 8.5 hours and then going to the theater to work there for another 4 hours, I was supposed to work on some costumes and things while doing my first load of laundry in 2 weeks, then go in to the theater. It's a good thing I have a lot of clothes.
But.
Just got a call from one of the two girls who's supposed to be working retail today, she's feeling 'awful'. This girl is always fucking feeling 'awful'. Usually when she's been out fucking drinking or staying up all night at her boyfriends house. She complains of stomach pains, also usually after she's been drinking.
She should have been fucking fired by now. She's always 'sick', and I know she's NOT sick because I'll SEE her, and she's out, or she'll go out drinking the same night. Sometimes she just won't show up, or she'll show up hours late. She constantly sneaks out for cigarette breaks. I smoke too, but I somehow manage to go more than half an hour without a break.
So, long story short, this means I have to go in. No laundry, re-trimming and fixing stuff while schlepping retail, and then dashing off to work for another handful of hours on very little sleep.
I'm pissed off.

And I'm pissed off that the fucking sets were painted a LURID yellow colour when we were told they would be 'gold'.
Now everything looks like absolute shit and we have to try and slapdash something together and try to make it work.

Because it isn't her that will be punished. It's the rest of the staff who're supposed to work with her. Because she still won't go in, it doesn't depend on my covering for her. So girl #2 would be left alone all day, and when everyone from upstairs goes to the theater at 4 or 5, she'll be TOTALLY alone in the store, which is completely unfair and unsafe.
