Volcanic eruption on Io (Jupiters moon)..caught by Pluto probe

Messenger is on its way to Pluto, but caught these pictures of Jupiter and some of its moons on the way...

I'm really looking forward to having some really good data on Pluto. Plus, it's cool how a trip to Jupiter not only makes a lot of these outer solar system missions possible/faster, it also gives us a chance to test out and calibrate the probes, while giving more good data on the Jovian system.

Yeah, I'm a geek, but I'm cool with that.

Interesting development during Jupiter's transit through it's ruling sign and it's pending conjunction with Pluto on the Galactic Center in December.

All the damned crazy fundamentalists having gone all destructive, I'd say something's brewing for sure.

Of course I'd hope for a new more spiritual orientation to emerge.

It looks more like the planet is wearing a toupee that's too small. I can even see the individual strands of hair.
