Has anyone seen Cold Mountain? |
|
I might have a "kinda sorta" date with this guy I am "kinda sorta" interested in tonight and am wondering if the movie is any good.
Both of us are liberal political buffs with an interest in history.
So what is it like? Any "embarassing" love scenes? Scary parts for hand holding? ;)

There is an embarassing love scence. I saw CM with a mom, so imagine what that was like. Not too much new as far as the history side goes. War was a struggle--we get it!! I thought it was very well made. Good direction, great acting--Renee is great. It kept me more interested than I thought it would. A good love story that I think never gets too sappy.

Maybe. How well do you know the potential 'date'? I would think it'll be more for couples who've been together awhile. it is essentially a love story that may make you uncomfortable. My suggestion: Maybe you should see Big Fish. It's upbeat and uplifting. Has some funny moments. Well written and acted. Thought it would be a bit better but it's worth a viewing. It may make you cry though which would be like going to see CM.

I'v known the guy for quite awhile...he's a pretty good online friend of mine, but we started hanging out recently too. Not really sure if we are actually "dating" or if we are both just sexually frustrated and want to get it on...haha...
Either way...maybe we will give it a shot.
Thanks for the help!

More of a rental than a must see. Good luck on your date.

So we DID go to see Cold Mountain... It was OK. A lot more lovey dovey than I'd have thought. I didn't even get embarassed in the sex scene. The "kinda/sorta" date went well, though. Except that I didn't even get a hand hold or a kiss goodnight. What is up with that guys? I should post about that...
