2. i'd like to get me a burlap sack
and collect about three of them. they probably have to weigh 50 - 100 pounds.

10. that's what i needed.
i could go over to the boat guy in town, but i really don't want to drink with him or end up out in the gulf for three days. and that always happens whenever i go there.

11. Aw, man? DEEP FRIED TURTLE, of course!
Crank up your turkey fryer.
Batter it with Tony Chachere's "Crispy Creole Fish Fry" mix.

Follow instructions on package.

IMPORTANT!!!
If you're not preparing Turtle Vesuvius, get your cordless drill and poke a few vent holes in the shell before battering.

Cook according to instructions for turkey, but REMEMBER, turtle isn't quite as bony, so reduce cooking time accordingly.

You'll find that the carapace makes a nice crispy shell and the meat will be very juicy, tender and succulent.
