Thunderstorms continue to build in our area...
..again. And, more tornadoes. :-(

Oh, but the weatherman said we get a little bit of a break tomorrow morning.

Springtime in N. Texas.

*sigh*

2. Well, take cover if you need to.
Thunderstorms are something I miss, living in SoCal. I loved thunderstorm season in Minnesota (as long as there were no tornadoes or straight line winds).

I do NOT miss the mosquitoes!

6. No kidding!
Tornadoes in North Texas are all too frequent, at least it is flat, but still very scary.

Tornadoes here in Arkansas hide behind hills and tend to show up in the early evening just after dark as they've made their way from Texas and Oklahoma

I am a bit of a weather junkie, but I hate tornadoes :scared:

8. Looks like a lot of yellow and red
and I'm hoping that if you're in the path of all of that, that you are in a safe place...

Quite widespread looking, no doubt heading my direction later if it doesn't rain itself out.

Looks like it has overtaken the radar site and that distorts the image, but it seems to be refreshing itself which is quite cool to imbed that here!

take care KC

9. My town in Ellis County just got nailed
Edited on Wed May-02-07 07:09 PM by Maestro
with 80 mile an hour straight line winds. A friend's roof was taken off and my very heavy barbecue pit was picked up and thrown into the yard. Geez! I ran outside to close my shed door so it wouldn't blow away and the rain felt like bullets on my skin.

10. Wow d00d!
be careful

straight winds can do as much damage and hurt/kill people too, as tornadoes and are much more common, downbursts

:scared:

12. As well as here too.
My brother called me from his cell phone on the road. He's having trouble getting home. He lives near me. He said power lines and trees are down everywhere.
