Is it nourishment I seek, so close to dinner?
Errands have delayed my lunch, and now I feel thinner.
Should I seek thee bread, thee ham and wry,
You know how much I love my toast just a little dry.
Firm yet tasty, my hands squeeze you shut
Why, my dear sandwich, am I in a rut?
