1. I wouldn't pay what they're asking, that's for sure.

2. Less than 1% of what they're asking.

4. Mighty pricey!
Edited on Wed May-02-07 10:18 PM by Scooter24
but that's the price you pay for rare or special designed items. I don't see any problem with it if you have or want to spend the money. Good quality and limited edition items will always cost a premium.

Last year, I bought a set of 4 of these chairs for my father's law offices. (Though in a different color fabric)

Designed by Arne Jacobsen from Denmark, an original Egg chair.

5. It's a lawn chair, how high quality could it be?
A fool and his money are soon parted.

6. True...it's just a lawn chair
Edited on Wed May-02-07 10:39 PM by Scooter24
but it's also a limited edition designed by John Paul Plauche. You're paying for the name, like most designer furniture.

I don't see a problem paying for designer brands if you can afford it.

9. I'd get a well-made swivel rocker for the patio with a big thick cushion
so I'd pay zero for the folding chair

12. It must be the wood.
Why would anyone pay $2500 for a lawn chair.

13. $2500??? This is a joke - right?
Where I live, aluminum tube chairs sell at yard sales at two for a dollar.
Get one of these:

They don't tip over when you lean to the side, and they cost less than 40 bucks.
