I am SO tired of having to concede every single argument
So when things come up for discussion at work, I am always wrong, never right and always, always have to give in. I am fucking sick of my opinions not counting for anything, of not being treated like an equal. Oh, but I am "just" a girl (seriously, I could be wrong, but that's definitely the vibe I get). I resent the hell out of this. But, hell, I've only been there 10 years; I must not know shit.

I cannot wait until I leave, then I can tell these people to go fuck themselves.

1. I understand what you're saying.
I find myself in situations with people with much more domineering or aggressive personalities and having to give in. I've been manipulated and coerced because there are those who see a soft-spoken introverted personality as a weakness to be exploited. So yeah, I know what you're talking about.

4. well one person in particular is very domineering
the other isn't so much but he is too much a stickler for the rules when it makes no sense sometimes. I understand having procedures and I agree normally but we also need to be flexible. In this particular case, he asked me why I had to argue every point. Well I do because I hope to win one one of these days. No, actually I just know when I am right. I might sound argumentative because my opinion almost never counts, so I simply try to stand up for myself. Things are almost never done like I suggest. With the domineering person, I don't even have a say at all. When I try, he sarcastically calls me "boss".

2. It may be because you're a girl
And it may be because the people you work with are just total assholes.

I'm a guy, for the record, but on some jobs (and in some relationships), my opinion hasn't counted because of whatever reason. Fuck 'em. THey don't know the wisdom they are missing out on. And I can always laugh when they fail.

That's not about me and you, though, it's about THEM. They're the ones w/ issues, so why should it bother you, right?

Also: trust your vibe, since it's usually right.

6. I wish that I could let things just roll off me but I can't
It bothers me a lot. I have a lot of issues with my job. Bottom line is I am just not happy there and need to do something else, so I am sure that has something to do with it.

7. LOL! My eight year has that attitude.
Never believes I'm right. The worst part is, I find myself trying to convince her I am not as dumb as she thinks, which makes me look even dumber! You can't beat an 8 year old in a debate, you just can't!
