I've only watched the first two episodes so far, I'm gonna watch the third shortly. I have to ask, though: How long does it take for it to get interesting? So far, I'm thoroughly underwhelmed.

10. It took a few episodes to really take off, to be honest,

and I say that as a committed Heroes fan. A pretty big part of the first few eps was dedicated to getting the backstory in place and introducing all the characters. It does take off, though. :)

17. i saw the ramones in houston in the mid 80s

in some strip mall club by the galleria.

prior to the show, the dj was spinning records (me and my group were all stoned and kinda tipsy) and then he played "the secret life of arabia." that was very memorable for me. it's a relatively obscure bowie track.

oh, the ramones were righteous.

HPD stood shoulder to shoulder across the front of the stage as soon as the band started playing and joey said, "stop, stop! fuck this shit! they gotta move."

there was a like a two minute standoff and the cops moved off the stage.

i don't know if they do it now, but in the "scene" then (hardcore/punk to punkish shows) there was sometimes a police presence.

HOWEVER, there were times that didn't happen, i remember seeing the exploited and it was like a riot, the singer throwing beer bottles into the audience and everything.

However, the reports I've heard about what's happening recently are really interesting, so I'll probably go back and catch up on the episodes I didn't watch.
