Mustn't forget the Cat Lovers, and Quilters...
Since I posted one of my wife's works of art on another thread,

Here is a pic of one of her quilts, with a cat theme:

The white cat commemorates Lace, and the black one is Boo.

They've since passed away, but their memory remains in this quilt.

Lace was named in honor of NASA's LACIE project, where my wife worked for many years.

4. I'll show them to her tomorrow
She's asleep right now.

Thanks!

The tabby on the right reminds me of one of our frequent visitor's, whom we named Tigger:

We don't own him; he owns us.

9. He is my humanities instructor
He tells me when it's time to kick the books out, and rub his chin.

The book is Theory of Formal Languages, the chapter is Finite State Automata.

I get my Master's diploma in computer science in another month, and start my PhD on speech recognition.

I am so thrilled I'm besides myself.

I took an applique class and failed miserably. Perhaps she and I should collaborate. ;)

6. Yes they are
The youngest is now 19 years old, so these are very old pics.

Now that they're grown and almost ready to fly the coop, she will have the space to take up her craft once again.

We have a wall hanging quilt; a going away present from her Quilting Bee in Houston.

Each block was made by one of her friends, each is in a totally different style.

yet they all mesh together to form a sea theme. That is the theme of our home; the sea and it's creatures.

(if you look carefully, you'll see a lighthouse in the shelf above the TV set in the original picture, with a sailboat next to it).

16. I think it's mostly a joke
but my mom has seen bumper stickers with that name on them. I did find this while trying to see if they were some official organization instead of humor. http://ladyterrorists.tribe.net/

Just stunning! Me I love the black cats, have three at home now, and one tortie. The quilt kind of looks like my bed at night!

I quilt some but have never done applique quilts. I have done applique wall hangings but not a big quilt.

Very nice!
