5. OUCH!
I've heard that broken ribs are very painful. Don't laugh for awhile, OK? I've always worried about tripping over one of my cats and taking a header down the stairs. I'm so glad it wasn't worse for you. (By the way, the cat did it on purpose. It's part of their evil scheme to kill us all).

Hurt like hell, so sorry you are in pain! My sister got tripped up by a kitten 2 years ago and broke her ankle falling down the stairs. BAD KITTIES!

Mine is always underfoot and then complains when I step on his tail. But I don't have any stairs or I might have fallen myself.

15. Unfortunatly broken ribs will take a while to heal.
I have had them. I couldn't do any lifting or housework for 6-8 weeks. It hurt way to much. Take care of yourself and watch out for those kitties. I know we have 3 indoor ones and an outdoor. They are always underfoot...lol.

And that makes you not want to breath. I hope you mend soon, and feel better. Get some rest and don't do any lifting.

And don't laugh, the pain will KILL you.

35. My dad cracked some ribs last year
and it took him awhile to get over. He had to take antibiotics for a couple of months and was on desk duty at work while he was recuperating.

The thing that makes it worse is that one of his idiot coworkers was responsible--they were trying to detach a pipe from the ceiling and the bolts wouldn't break loose since it had been put up years earlier. His coworker decided to break it loose with brute force and started yanking on the pipe and right about the time my dad said, "STOP PULLING ON IT!" the guy working with him broke it loose and it smacked my dad in the side.

He'd also had one of his fingers mashed in a press (it was okay, thank goodness) earlier in the year because he was behind a press that he'd powered down in order to fix it and some other knucklehead came along and turned it on and tested it to find out if it'd been fixed yet!

After the pipe incident one of 'em said, "Boy, you sure are accident prone!" and he let 'em have it. ("Just because I keep getting hurt by something one of you mental midgets does doesn't make me accident-prone!")

Hope you feel better soon, CD. :)
